How to Lose Belly Fat for Women?

Before we even talk about how to lose belly fat for women, I think I need to discuss what is belly fat to benefit those who do not know it.

When we talk about fats, normally we will think of Trans Fat, Saturated Fat and Monounsaturated Fat which are widely mention in weight loss and diet programs. These fats are found in the foods we eat every day.

If I tell you there is another kind of fat call visceral fat, have you heard of it? This is not found in the food we eat but is located in our body.  It is an internal fat. Let me explain further; visceral fat wrap around our organs, for example: liver, heart, and kidneys. What it does is it takes up all the space in your abdominal cavity, so that there is no space left for your organs, nerves, and vessels to function properly.

Visceral fat is toxic and it is deadly. An excess of visceral fat are commonly known as “beer belly” or “pot belly” (see picture on the left). People with this excess visceral fat have a body know as “apple shape”. Having an “apple shape” body type is not as simple as “you do not look good”, “you will not be extractive”, is much more than that. Having an “apple shape” body type is associated with a statistically higher risk of heart disease, hypertension, insulin resistance, cancer and Diabetes. If you are one of them facing this problem, I seriously advise you to take steps to change it, not just for your own health but also for your loved ones, who need and love you.

After knowing what is belly fat, we now look at How to lose belly fat for women? When I was in my 20+, I was lean and tall. My BMI was in the healthy range. After I got married and have three children, I started to have belly fat. Why? I asked. I searched in the internet and found many answers. Some say is stress, others it is hormone change etc. How true are all these? I know one fact for sure; many women (including me) notice an increase in belly fat as they get older — even if they aren’t gaining weight.  According to what I read in books and internet, it is due to a decreasing level of estrogens, which appears to influence where fat is distributed in the body.

So, how to lose belly fat for women? I do sit up for many year, when I was in my 20+, it did help me to have a flat tummy but now in my 40+ with my belly fat, it does not seem to be effective anymore. I tried cutting down on food that I eat but…hum…Sometime I think may be at different age you have to use different method to lose that fat.

Please do understand, I am not an expert in this field. I am just an ordinary person who loves to read, write and share what I have learnt from the information I found in the World Wide Web.

Lately I came across this interesting and free presentation especially for women: Unusual Tips to Lose Body Fat and Get a Flat Stomach (View here). I will not give any comment about this video as I think it is better for you to view it yourself.

Before watching this presentation, I did not realised that the kind of food I eat can be one of the things that cause me to have belly fat. Wow, this is really an eye opener for me.

But beware, as the saying goes, there is no such thing as “free” in this world. I do need to highlight that at the end of this presentation; there will be testimonies and a product sale: an eBook. You do not need to purchase the eBook but if you think this will help you to lose your belly fat and make you healthier for you and your loved ones, why not. :-)

  • Everyone is different so different types of diet plans work for each person. I eat five to six small meals per day to keep my metabolism going and I get about 45 minutes of cardio exercises in about three to four times a week. Foods that help me build muscle and burn fat are whole grains, fish or other foods high in protein. Fresh fruits and vegetables curb my sweet cravings and they improve my overall immune system. Many celebs eat 30 percent of carbs, 30 percent of proteins and 40 percent of fats in which seems to help me also.

That is so true. One must remember there is no such thing as one plan fits all. Everyone needs to find that plan that is suitable for them. If you cannot find the perfect plan, modify the plan you found so that it will be suitable for you.
